The game consists of a series of locations, in the center of which there is a village acting as a hub. In Kena: Bridge of Spirits the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP).
These creatures are supposed to take care of the balance of nature by decomposing dead and decaying elements, but they have been scattered all over the area, which, combined with the fact that angry ghosts are rampant in the thicket, makes their work impossible. To unravel the mystery of the place's demise and restore it to its former glory, Kena must team up with the black spirits known as Rot. Her search for a mountain sanctuary leads her to a beautiful, yet corrupted forest, in the heart of which there is an abandoned village. The main character of Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a young spirit guide named Kena.
This small team previously specialized in creating animations and commercials, and while working on this production they were inspired mainly by The Legend of Zelda series. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action adventure game developed by Ember Lab, an independent studio.
